Subject Arrested for Child Molestation

Riverside, Ca- On Tuesday May 2, 2006 at about 11:00 p.m., Riverside Police officers responded to Fairmount Park reference suspicious circumstances. Upon arrival the officers contacted Big Will’s Security, which has a contract with the city to patrol the parks. The security officer located an adult male in a vehicle with a 13-year-old female. During the Riverside police officer’s investigation information was developed which led to the male suspect’s arrest for suspicion of Child Molestation.

It was discovered the suspect, Andy LEON, 20, of Riverside, met the victim on the website, “MySpace,” and they eventually agreed to meet in person. A search of Mr. Leon’s house also led to the confiscation of a computer believed to have been used to contact the victim. Mr. Leon was booked into the Riverside County Jail for Child Molest and an outstanding warrant from the military for Desertion from the U.S. Armed Forces. The name of the victim will not be released.
