Fatal Traffic Collision - Vehicle vs. Motorcycle
Riverside, Ca- On Saturday, July 22, 2006
at 8:38 pm a 2005 Dodge Ram pick up driven by a 24-year-old female of Moreno Valley was headed west on Van
Buren Blvd. approaching Bountiful in the #2 lane of traffic when she began to change into the #1 lane of
traffic.
A 39-year-old male from Riverside, was riding his 1989 Harley Davidson motorcycle in the #1 lane westbound
Van Buren Blvd at this same time and the vehicles collided causing the motorcyclist to lose control. The
motorcycle went down and traveled almost 300 feet and the driver sustained major traumatic injuries.
Riverside Police and Fire were called to the scene and the motorcyclist was transported to Riverside County
Regional Medical Center in Moreno Valley. The Emergency Room staff pronounced him deceased at the
hospital.
The 24-year-old female driving the pick up truck was not injured.
The Riverside Police Department Major Accident Investigation Team was called to the scene and the collision
