Detectives Seeking Witness to Fatal Traffic Collision

Riverside, Ca- On July 20, 2006 at approximately 8:30 a.m. 72 year-old Curtis Poole of Riverside died as a result of injuries he sustained when the motorcycle he was driving collided with a 2006 white Chevrolet 1500 pick up truck driven by a 31 year-old Covina resident at the intersection of Market St. and Rivera in the City of Riverside.

At the time of the collision, the driver of the Chevrolet pick up reported that a commercial tractor-trailer truck was in the traffic lane next to him and may have witnessed the accident. To date, detectives have not been able to identify the driver of the tractor-trailer truck and are asking for assistance in identifying this possible witness.

Anyone who may have been in the area of Market and Rivera Streets on Thursday July 20, 2006 at approximately 8:30 a.m. and has information regarding this tractor-trailer truck is asked to contact Detective Joe Avila at (951) 353-7985.
