Armed Robbery

Riverside, Ca- On August 10, 2006 at about 10:10 pm, officers from the Riverside Police Department responded to the Bakers Restaurant located at 3522 Adams to investigate an armed robbery. This after a citizen observed what they thought was a robbery in progress and called police.

Two male adult suspects entered the business as employees were closing for the evening. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and forced the employees into the freezer before robbing the business. The suspects then fled the scene in a vehicle, which was being driven by a third suspect, a female. A short time later the employees exited the freezer and saw the cash registers open and the money missing. None of the employees were injured and no customers were inside of the business when the robbery occurred.

Witnesses outside of the business provided descriptions of the suspects as well as the vehicle they fled in. The two male suspects were described as follows; a male Hispanic in his twenties, approximately six feet tall with a thin build. The other male suspect was described as a Black male having a dark complexion also in his twenties. The female driver was described as a petite Black female in her twenties.

The suspect vehicle was described as a small to mid sized white vehicle, possibly a Toyota or a Mustang.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact the Riverside Police Department - Central Investigations Bureau at (951) 353-7100.
