Riverside, Ca- On November 10, 2004 Riverside
Police investigated an armed robbery that occurred at Alexander’s Jewelers in
the Galleria at Tyler. A lone gunman stole some jewelry and forced an employee
to leave the store with him. Once outside the mall, the suspect fled without the
employee. Nobody was injured during the robbery.
Investigators developed follow-up information and identified Herbert Franklin
Taylor (DOB 12-08-83) as the suspect in the robbery/kidnap.
On November 19, 2004 IRAT (Inland Regional Apprehension Team) investigators were
watching a possible suspect location in the 1600 block of Ruby Dr., Perris, CA.
They stopped a vehicle containing Taylor and subsequently arrested him.
Taylor was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for 211 PC Robbery,
209 (b)(1) PC Kidnapping, and outstanding felony warrants that included Grand
Theft and Inflicting Corporal Injury.
