DUI Check Point/Saturation Patrol

Time: 8:00 PM to 4:00 AM
Location: La Sierra area in the City of Riverside

Riverside, Ca- The Riverside Police Department in conjunction with The California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) will be conducting a DUI Check Point/Saturation Patrol on Friday May 28, 2004. Funding for this event will be provided through grants from the California Office of Traffic Safety.

These grants include the Riverside Police Department RIDE Grant and the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Avoid the 30 Grant. In addition to officers from the Riverside Police Department, officers from the following agencies will be participating in this event:

Riverside Sheriff’s Department Moreno Valley Station
Riverside Sheriff’s Department Norco Station
Corona Police Department
University of California at Riverside Police Department
California Highway Patrol

Similar OTS Grant events will be taking place throughout Riverside and San Bernardino County throughout the holiday weekend.

The goal of this event is to remove the impaired driver from the road and reduce the risk of collisions because of the impairment. All of the Officers and Deputies involved in this event encourage everyone not to drink and drive. If you plan to drink then have a designated driver.
