At approximately 8:00 PM on Tuesday March 24,
2004, officers from the Riverside Police Department responded to the 4700 block
of Kansas regarding a sexual assault. Officers contacted a 21 year-old female
who advised that a lone male suspect armed with a handgun confronted her inside
her residence and sexually assaulted her.
Detectives from the Sexual Assault Child Abuse Unit (SACA) responded to the
location and conducted an initial investigation. As a result of information from
the victim, investigators believe this incident may be related to two other
sexual assault incidents in November of 2003, in the same general area.
The belief these incidents may be related is based on information from the
victims as to the suspect’s method of operation and his physical description.
The suspect is described as:
Male Black, 5’11” – 6’4”, 165 –200 lbs., Unknown Hair / Brown Eyes
Early to Mid 20’s wearing dark colored clothing.
Residents are reminded to pay
attention to anything out of the ordinary when returning to their residence
after being away, and take appropriate measures to secure their property. Don’t
enter your residence and call police if you find anything unusual.
