Riverside, Ca- At approximately 10:50 PM,
officers responded to the 7500 Block of Fern Ave. reference several calls of
shots heard in the area.
Several subjects were standing in the front yard of a residence on Fern when
unknown suspect(s) fired numerous shots at the group. A nine-year-old boy who
was in the yard received a gunshot wound to his foot. The boy was transported to
a local hospital for treatment of his injury. Two subjects were seen running
away immediately after the shooting. A search of the area was conducted with no
suspects found.
