Riverside, Ca- Riverside Police Officers
responded to the Lincoln Ave. / Jackson St. intersection regarding a major
injury traffic collision. That occurred at 11:33 p.m. on Sunday, August 1st.
Officers’ preliminary investigation indicates Riverside resident Timothy Le
Blond, 23 yrs., was northbound on Jackson St. when his vehicle was broadside by
a vehicle being driven by Nuevo resident Brandon Tasker, 19 yrs., which had been
traveling eastbound on Lincoln Ave. The force of the impact caused both vehicles
to travel out of control up onto the northeast sidewalk shearing off a fire
hydrant and toppling a traffic signal. The collision occurred within a traffic
signal controlled intersection and there were no independent witnesses to
provide information on which vehicle failed to stop for the red light.
LeBlond sustained life threatening head injuries and was transported to
Riverside Community Hospital; Tasker was not injured in the collision. Both
vehicles had one passenger injured and they were transported to Riverside County
Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Riverside Police Department’s, Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT)
responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. Police asked any possible
witness to the collision contact Det. Reeves at 826-5235.
