Riverside, Ca- On March 10, 2003 at about
7:10 P.M. officers responded to a report of a suspicious package in the parking
lot of 6491 Magnolia. Upon arrival, the first responding officers determined
that the package was a briefcase, which had been left unattended on the sidewalk
adjacent to several businesses.
RPD Explosive Ordinance Personnel responded and their investigation revealed
that the briefcase did not contain an explosive device.
Magnolia Avenue and several adjacent side streets between Central Avenue and
Merrill Avenue were closed for approximately four hours during the incident.
