Riverside, Ca- On Friday, October 7th at 12:11 PM a witness reporting a stabbing that just occurred at Jo Jo and Crest flagged down Riverside Police School Resource Officer Tipre. Officer Tipre notified other units of the description of two suspects fleeing the area on foot.

School Resource Officer Shawn Casteel located the two suspects running from the area and was able to detain one at gunpoint until other officers arrived to help. The second suspect fled into the residential neighborhood and a perimeter was established. Norte Vista High School and Terrace Elementary School were briefly asked to keep their students inside their classrooms.

A search of the neighborhood proved negative for the second suspect however through investigation his identity has been determined.

Suspect in custody: Jose Alcala 18 years old of Riverside
Outstanding suspect: Male Hispanic Juvenile 16 years

Charge: Attempted Murder

Victim : Jesus Gonzalez 24 years old of Riverside
