Riverside, Ca- On July 1, 1997, Emiliano
Zaragoza and an acquaintance were standing in the driveway of a residence near
Third Street and Anderson Street in the City of Riverside. At approximately 7:30
pm, a vehicle occupied by three male Hispanics stopped in front of the
residence. One of the occupants got out of the vehicle and engaged Zaragoza and
his acquaintance in a brief conversation then fired several rounds from a
handgun, ultimately killing Zaragoza and critically injuring his acquaintance.
The suspect got back into the vehicle, which then fled the scene.
Suspect description obtained at the time of the murder: Hispanic, Male, 18 to 25
years old, 5’8” to 6’2” tall, slender build, brown hair, and unknown colored
eyes.
Suspect vehicle description obtained at the time of the murder: 1996 to 1997
Silver or Champagne colored four door Honda Civic sedan. This vehicle was
possibly lowered and had chrome rims.
