Riverside, Ca-  Chief Russ Leach is pleased to announce the promotion of Detective Dan Reeves to the rank of Sergeant.

Sergeant Dan Reeves began his law enforcement career in 1987 as a Police Officer for Riverside Police Department. As an officer, Sergeant Reeves performed duties as a Patrol Officer, Bike Officer, Field Training Officer and member of the Special Weapons and Tactics (S.W.A.T.) team. He was promoted to the rank of Detective in 1997 where he worked in the Property Crimes Unit, and the Riverside Auto Theft Interdiction Detail (R.A.I.D.). His most recent assignment was to the Traffic Bureau.
