Riverside, Ca- On February 1, 2005, at 0251
hours, officers from the Riverside Police Department responded to reports of an
injury accident on Lincoln at Mary St. Upon arrival, officers found two vehicles
involved and a downed power pole. One of the drivers involved was an off-duty
Riverside Police officer, who had just completed his shift and was on his way
home.
The preliminary investigation revealed Officer Feimer was E/B Lincoln St.
approaching Mary St. on a green light. Officer Feimer entered the intersection
and was hit broadside by a vehicle traveling N/B on Mary St. driven by Mr.
Crafts.
Officer Feimer suffered injuries to his head and was transported to a local
hospital where he was treated and released. Mr. Crafts also suffered head
injuries and was transported for treatment. The following passengers in Mr.
Crafts’ vehicle were also injured in the collision: Rachel Horowitz (18) of
Perris, Tyler Hall (19) of Riverside and a sixteen year old female of Riverside,
who’s name is being withheld because of her age.
Mr. Crafts was arrested for DUI and the collision is still under investigation
by the MAIT Team (Major Accident Investigation Team).
