Riverside, Ca- On December 24, 2005, at approximately 3:27 PM, Eva Bowen (68 yrs. old) of Riverside was making a left turn from N/B Riverwalk to W/B Sierra Vista in her 2002 Ford mini van. Meanwhile, Christopher Williams (22 yrs. old) of Riverside was traveling S/B on Riverwalk in his 1997 Ford Mustang. He ran the red light at Sierra Vista and collided with the mini van broadside in the intersection.

A 45 year old female resident of Moreno Valley, who was the right front passenger of the mini van, was transported to Kaiser Hospital and pronounced deceased. She sustained major trauma injuries from the collision and her identity is being withheld pending family notification.

Eva Bowen was transported to Community Hospital with minor injuries. Shawn Walker (45 yrs. old) and a female juvenile, both of Moreno Valley, were additional passengers in the mini van and were transported to Riverside County Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.

Members of the Riverside Police Department’s (M.A.I.T.) Major Accident Investigation Team responded and the collision is under investigation.
