Robbery and Attempt Homicide at Furniture Store

Riverside, Ca-  On Friday, May 23rd at about 12:01PM the Riverside Police Department responded to the S&T Furniture Store at 9516 Magnolia to a radio call of “Shots heard, man down” at this business. Officers arrived and found the storeowner suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Officers determined that the victim was alone in his store when two suspects entered to commit a robbery.

The suspects had already obtained an undisclosed amount of cash from the business when the victim attempted to flee out the front door onto Magnolia Avenue. The victim was shot at from inside the store and sustained non-life threatening wounds to his body. The suspects fled out the back of the store and were last seen westbound on foot. The victim was treated and released from a local hospital for his injuries.

Detectives were called to the scene to collect evidence. Part of the evidence located was a digital surveillance video that may have captured images of the fleeing suspects. The Investigations Division Computer Forensics Lab will be analyzing the images to assist in identification of the suspects.

The suspects were described as male Hispanics with light skin color, one wearing a white shirt, khaki color pants and a golf style hat and the other wearing khaki color shirt and pants.
