Riverside, Ca- At approximately 9:00 A. M.
Riverside Police Detectives served arrest and search warrants at four different
locations within the City of Riverside. The warrants were issued for arrest of
four suspects involved in a strong arm robbery that occurred on March 30, 2003.
During the course of this robbery, the female victim was punched several times
in the face and upper torso. While assaulting the victim, the female suspects
removed portions of her clothing. One of the male suspects photographed the
incident.
Simultaneous to the service of the arrest warrants, the search warrants were
served at the suspects’ residences and several items of evidence were seized.
This included personal property of the victim and photographic equipment. The
arrested suspects are identified as:
1. Baray, Janette, 19 years, Riverside
2. Gonzalez, Jessica, 19 years, Riverside
3. Mendez, Ariel, 21 years, Riverside
4. Hispanic Female Juvenile not identified
They were booked into Robert Presley Detention Center.
