Riverside, Ca- On Thursday February 27, 2003
at about 0920 officers from the Riverside Police Department responded to the
6000 block of Anita reference a subject down. Upon arrival officers located a
male victim who had been shot. The victim was transported to Riverside Community
Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The name of the victim is being withheld
pending notification of family by the coroner’s office.
Witnesses provided a description of a possible suspect and suspect vehicle.
Patrol officers stopped the suspect, Christopher Michael Brennan 23 of Riverside
near 14th and Brockton. They also located a vehicle nearby and recovered a
handgun. The suspect was interviewed by homicide detectives and booked into the
Riverside County Jail for Murder. The investigation is continuing at this time.
