Major Injury Traffic Collision
 

Riverside, Ca- On December 11, 2003, at 1708 hours, a compact vehicle was traveling west on Lincoln Avenue at Grace Street when a bicyclist darted north across the street into the vehicles path. The female driver was unable to stop in time to avoid collision and struck the juvenile causing serious injury.

The boy, a 12-year old Riverside resident, was treated at the scene by medical personnel from the Riverside Fire Department. He was then transported to Riverside Community Hospital where he was treated by the emergency room medical staff for serious head and body injuries. The minor was admitted to the hospital in critical condition.

Members of the Department’s Traffic Division responded and the collision is being investigated.
