Riverside, Ca- The City of Riverside Office
of Emergency Management will conduct a city wide exercise simulating a 7.4
Earthquake at Castle Park, located at 3500 Polk Street, on Wednesday, April 30,
2003 from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm. This exercise will have over 400 volunteers acting
as victims and will involve approximately 30 different agencies throughout
Riverside County.
Members of the media are invited to attend this exercise and will be escorted by
designated personnel. Some portions of the exercise will consist of emergency
personnel rescuing victims from various rides throughout the park. There will
also be victims at approximately 8 different hospitals throughout Western
Riverside County that will be participating in the exercise.
