Riverside, Ca- On October 18, 2002, at approximately 0014 hours, Riverside Police Officers responded to the intersection of Gramercy Place and Hedrick Street regarding a citizen’s report of “shots fired with a subject down.” Upon arrival, officers discovered a large crowd of people in the street and a 20-year-old male gunshot victim laying in the intersection. The victim had suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced deceased on scene by emergency medical assistance personnel.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that a large party had taken place at a residence located in the 10000 block of Gramercy Place when a confrontation took place in the street near the residence. The victim has been identified by the Riverside County Sheriff / Coroner as Jorge Argumedo.
