approximately 1549 hours on 11-19-02, officers responded to the intersection of
Magnolia and Golden regarding a traffic collision between an RTA bus and three
other vehicles.
A
preliminary investigation indicated that the RTA bus was traveling eastbound on
Magnolia and entered the intersection at Golden on a red light.
The RTA bus struck a1985 Toyota Camry, and 2001 GMC Pick-up truck and a
2001 Dodge Pick-up truck in the intersection.
The driver and passenger of the Toyota Camry were taken to Kaiser
Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Four
passengers on the bus were taken to local hospitals for treatment of complaint
of pain injuries. The occupants in
both pick-up trucks were not injured.
The
investigation into the collision has been forwarded to the Traffic Detectives
for follow-up.
