Riverside, CA – Officers responded to a call of a man brandishing a handgun at a neighbor from his balcony. The suspect later identified as Joseph Almond 41 of Riverside had brandished a .38 caliber handgun at a neighbor because he thought the neighbor had his car radio on too loud. Officers arrived and Almond went back into his apartment along with his five year old daughter. Officers made contact with Almond over the phone and after a short discussion he surrendered to officers. The Five year old daughter was unharmed and was released to the mother who arrived after the incident. A search of the apartment located two handguns, rifles, a shotgun, a stun gun, swords and hundreds of rounds of ammunition. Almond was booked into the Riverside County Jail for PC 245, Assault with a Deadly Weapon, PC 417, Brandishing a handgun and PC 273D, Felony Child Endangering.
