Injuries: The driver of the vehicle suffered fatal injuries. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by members of the Riverside Fire Department.
Riverside,
Ca. - The Riverside Fire department was dispatched to a vegetation fire in the
hill area N/W of Tyler St. & Jurupa Ave. After extinguishing the blaze it
was discovered the fire had been started by a single vehicle roll over
collision. In the vehicle, a 2001 Toyota, was a single deceased occupant.
The vehicle was traveling west on a dirt roadway when for unknown an reason it left this dirt roadway and traveled north across an open field. The vehicle collided with a barbwire fence and continued across the field. The vehicle then tumbled down a 40’ embankment and burst into flames.
The name of the deceased driver is not confirmed and will be released by the Riverside County Sheriff/Coroners Office. The Riverside Police Department Traffic Division Major Accident Investigation (MAIT) Team is investigating the collision.
