Riverside, Ca- On Tuesday, December 10th at
about 6:30 PM the Riverside Police Department received a call about several
subjects involved in fight near the 4600 block of Hedrick Avenue. While Officers
were responding to that incident, another call was received reporting an assault
victim in a vehicle at Jones Street and Hole Avenue. Officers arrived at Jones
and Hole where a male adult victim was found. He was transported via ambulance
to Riverside Community Hospital.
After interviewing witnesses at both scenes it appears the two calls were
related. Detectives responded to conduct interviews and collect evidence at both
locations.
The victim of the assault was treated at the Riverside Community Hospital
Emergency Room but did not survive. His name is being withheld pending
notification of family members.
