Riverside, Ca- On Thursday, December 5, 2002,
over 60 sworn peace officers from the Riverside Police Department, Riverside
County Probation, State Parole, UCR Police Department and the West County
Narcotics Task Force participated in a multi-agency compliance check throughout
the city of Riverside. Riverside County Probation randomly selected
approximately 70 probationers that are currently on formal felony probation. The
objective of the Compliance Checks is to ensure that probationers are in
compliance with the terms and conditions of their probation. Compliance Checks
afford all agencies an opportunity to reduce violent criminal activity and
improve the quality of life for residents in the city of Riverside. Listed below
are the results from the Compliance Checks.
· 59 Residents were checked.
· 8 Felony arrests were made, which included Parolee’s At Large and Felony
Probation Violators.
· Items confiscated during these checks included a Sawed-Off Shotgun, Knives,
Ammunition, Narcotics, Drug Paraphernalia, and a Bullet Proof Vest.
