Attempted Homicide

Riverside, Ca-  On Friday, August 30, 2002, at approximately 5:30 P.M., officers from the Riverside Police Department responded to a report of a shooting victim that was down in the street in front of a residence in the 7600 block of Fern Street.  Upon arrival they found the victim had been shot once in the upper body.  Medical aid personnel responded and transported the victim to Riverside Community Hospital for treatment.  The victim would not give the officers information and no witnesses located.

The victim, identified as Norman Don Cornejo, Hispanic male, 32-years-old, of Riverside, was admitted to the hospital in stable condition.  His injuries were not life threatening.  There was no suspect information.
