Riverside, Ca- On
8-27-02 at 3:25 pm, officers from the Riverside Police Department responded to
11060 Magnolia Ave. regarding reports of shots heard and people seen running
from the parking lot of the Department of Public Social Services building.
Upon
arrival, officers located a male shooting victim at the corner of La Sierra Ave.
and Diana Ave., bleeding from the right arm. The victim, a 32 year-old Corona
man, was treated by paramedics and transported to a local hospital. His injuries
were not considered life threatening.
The
shooting stemmed from a verbal argument between the victim and two suspects. The
suspects were said to have fled in a dark colored vehicle with a red stripe down
the side. The two suspects, who are still outstanding, are described as male
Hispanics with shaved heads, in their twenties.
The
victim, whose name is not being released for his safety, was treated at a local
hospital.
