Riverside, Ca- At
approximately 5:40 P.M. on Saturday, August 17, 2002 Officer Robert Nibecker was
stopped in the #1 N/B lane of Magnolia Ave at Central Ave. for a red traffic
signal. Officer Nibecker was

Central Ave., she began to accelerate thinking she also had a green light and
struck the rear of the stopped police vehicle.
Officer
Nibecker was transported via ambulance to Riverside Community Hospital for
medical treatment. At the time of
this press release he was still undergoing treatment, but is in good condition.
The other driver was not injured. There
