Riverside, Ca- On Monday, June 4, 2001, at approximately 10:49 P.M., officers from the Riverside Police Department responded to a report of man down in the 3900 block of Broadmoor Street. As they arrived they found a male Hispanic in the street suffering from a stab wound to the upper body. Medical personnel responded and transported the victim to Parkview Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Investigators were called to the scene and learned the victim had been confronted as he walked down Broadmoor Street. During the confrontation the victim was stabbed. The suspect fled on foot, but has been identified as Oscar Ochoa, male Hispanic, 18-years-old, of Riverside. The victimís identity is not being released at this time pending notification to the next of kin by the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner.
