Riverside, Ca- Ten would-be "johns" were arrested today by undercover Riverside police officers during a sting that targeted customers of local prostitutes. Members of the Riverside Police Department Vice Unit and the Problem Oriented Policing Team conducted the program in a south end of the City, in an area where complaints of prostitution activity have been reported. Plainclothes female officers were approached and solicited by numerous men while walking along Magnolia Avenue. Ten suspects were charged with misdemeanor violations, and released pending court appearance. Vice detectives regularly target both prostitutes and their customers for enforcement action.
