Riverside, CA –
At 9:47 a.m. officers responded to the 3300 block of Lemon Street to a call of a disturbance. A person called in reporting their neighbor was breaking things and creating a disturbance. As officers arrived on scene, the 35 year old white woman ran into her residence. Officers observed through the open front door that the stove had been pulled away from the wall. They could smell an odor of natural gas. The officers entered the residence and turned off the gas valve. The woman had fled to the bathroom where she was screaming and yelling incoherently. Officers determined she needed medical care and mental evaluation. She was transported by ambulance to Riverside Community Hospital for medical treatment and then taken for a mental evaluation.
