RPD Explorer Post Receives Grant

Riverside, Ca- The Riverside Police Department Explorer Post 714 is beginning itís thirty-first year of service to the community. The young men and women within this Post perform numerous hours of volunteer work at various events throughout the city. Notably, they assist with the Orange Blossom Festival and the annual Air Show at the Riverside Municipal Airport.

Annually, the California State Lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police awards grants to deserving Police Explorer Posts within the State of California. This year, the Riverside Police Explorer Post has been awarded a $4000.00 grant from the Fraternal Order of Police.

These monies will used to further aid these young people in their service to our community. Specifically, the Post will be purchasing equipment for use within a command post trailer that is used while serving at these events.
