Riverside, Ca- On Friday, August 3, 2001, at approximately 10:20 P.M., officers from the Riverside Police Department were dispatched to an unknown trouble, person bleeding, in the area of Magnolia & Brockton. They arrived and found a subject suffering from a stab wound to the upper body. Medical personnel responded and transported the victim to Riverside Community Hospital where he later died.
Investigators learned the victim had been involved in a confrontation with a subject over the theft of personal property that resulted in the fatal stab wound. Friends of the victim were taking the victim to Riverside Community Hospital but stopped and asked passersby to call 911. The confrontation occurred near Ahumadaís Market at Evans & Cary in Riverside. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, 18-20 years old, medium build, with a shaved head.
The Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner is withholding the victimís identity pending notification of next of kin.
