Riverside, Ca-  At approximately 9:04 a.m. this date, a lone African-American male entered the Western Financial Bank located at 3501 Adams Street and brandished a handgun.  He demanded money and then fled on foot out a rear door.  He was last seen running into a residential area east of the bank.  Officers responded quickly and sealed off the area where the suspect was last seen.  One resident reported seeing a subject who matched the description of the suspect.  Officers also located discarded clothing, a wig, and a handgun in the rear yard of one of the houses.  Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) officers were called in to search the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.  At this time, the amount of money taken during the robbery is still undetermined.

Witnesses describe the suspect as a light skinned African-American male, in his thirties, 5'7" -6'0", slender build.  He has short hair and freckles.
