RPD National Night Out 2015

National Night Out - Tuesday, August 2, 2016

The Annual National Night Out (NNO) is a community-wide crime prevention program sponsored locally by the Riverside Police Department and our local businesses.  NNO is sponsored nationally by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW), ADT, Target, Nextdoor.com, and Associa.  NNO is an annual event held throughout the United States to promote cooperation between the police and the community.

NNO events are designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for and participation in local anti-crime programs, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police community partnerships, and send a message to criminals letting them know that Riverside neighborhoods are organized and fighting back. Neighborhood social events are being held throughout the City from 6:00-9:00 P.M.  Police personnel will be out in force and visiting events that are registered with the department.  Fire and City personnel will also be participating in the activities.

National Night Out Kick Off Event

Come join us Saturday, July 30th, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Target parking lot at 3333 Arlington Avenue to meet with different organizations in the City of Riverside. We will have representatives from the Police, Code Compliance, and Public Works. Many local businesses such as Target, ADT, Home Depot, Don's Lock and Key, Coco's Bakery, etc. will also be there to talk to you about how you can make your community a better place. We will also have music, food, and a live DJ! First 400 visitors even get a free pancake breakfast. This is a FREE family friendly event, so bring your family and invite the neighbors because building the community is what this event is all about.
