program provides for the construction of streets, sewers, storm
drains, traffic signals and the final closure of the Tequesquite
Sanitary Landfill. Street
projects include: |
- Widening to provide for safety
and additional capacity.
- Pavement rehabilitation to
prolong the life of the streets.
- Bikeway and sidewalk construction.
- Street extensions for capacity
improvement.

projects include: |
- Operation and maintenance improvements
to the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
- Implementation of the Wastewater
Treatment Plant master plan.
- Maintenance and capacity improvements
to the collection system.

| Storm
drain projects include: |
- New pipeline construction to
provide flood protection and reduce maintenance costs.
- Street drainage improvements
to eliminate potential hazards and improve the life cycle of
the street structural section.

| Traffic
signal projects include: |
- Reconstruction of signals to
improve intersection capacity and provide additional safety.
- Construction of new traffic
signals at unsignalized locations.
|
| Landfill
closure projects: |
- Construction of flood protection
facilities and a final cover for the landfill.
- Water quality testing to monitor
the levels of ground water contamination at the landfill.
