                  Traffic Facts

Since we are entering the season when rainstorms and winds can cause power outages affecting our traffic signals, please keep in mind . . . When a traffic signal is not working, all drivers approaching the intersection must stop at the intersection, then proceed when safe. The intersection operates like a multi-way stop sign controlled intersection when the signal is not working.

Time Limit Parking applies to the entire block or parking lot for a 24-hour period. For example:  you cannot park in a 2-hour zone in the morning and then later in the afternoon park again in the same 2-hour zone.

Traffic Signals cost from $90,000 to $140,000 to design and construct.  The variation in cost is dependant on the width of the intersection and the complexity of the phasing (traffic movements).

15 mph is the speed limit in all alleys.  Signs do not need to be posted for this speed limit to be in effect.

Two-Way Left-Turn lanes, are exclusively for left-turns and u-turns. It is illegal to use the lane as a driving lane or to use it to overtake and pass slower traffic.
