Many common products that we use in our daily lives
contain potentially hazardous ingredients and require
special care during disposal. It is illegal to dispose of
hazardous waste in the trash, down storm drains, or onto
the ground.
Did You Know?
Americans generate 1.6 million tons of household hazardous waste per year. The average home can accumulate as much as 100 pounds in the basement, garage and storage closets. When improperly disposed of, household hazardous waste can create a potential risk to people and the environment.
Residents may dispose of household hazardous waste every non-holiday Saturday from 9 am-2 pm at the Riverside County HHW Facility.
Liquid hazardous waste loads may not exceed fifteen gallons, with a total weight limit of 125 pounds per load. Residents may make multiple trips. For more information, please visit the Riverside County HHW Website.
