Draining a Pool Swimming Pool

Before draining your pool, please call the City’s Environmental Compliance Division at 951-351-6140 (dial 311 after normal business hours) for approval.

Pools may not be drained into our storm drains, street gutters or sewer manholes. Pools must be drained through your on-site sewer clean-out.

311 Call Center

The City of Riverside’s Call Center provides a centralized point of contact for any non-emergency call for city information and services. The 311 Call Center should be utilized for all sewer related issues. The Call Center can be reached 24 hours a day, seven days a week by dialing 951-826-5311. You can complete the 311 Call Center forms online.

R.V. Dump Station Temporarily Closed

The Riverside Water Quality Control Plant RV Dump Station is temporarily closed due to construction activity. The City of Riverside is in the process of upgrading and expanding the wastewater treatment plant.

Septic Station Open to Liquid Waste Haulers

The Riverside Water Quality Control Plant Septic Hauler Station is now open to liquid waste haulers during normal business hours:

Monday - Friday: 7:00 am to 5:00 pm

Saturday: 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Sunday: 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Dye Tests

Dye Tests are usually performed when you are not sure if you are connected to the sewer line. The Riverside Water Quality Control Plant is committed to providing important information in a timely manner. Dye Tests are provided at no charge to residents within the City limits.

The test can be scheduled Monday through Friday, and are usually performed around 12:00 p.m. Weekend tests are not available. Requests should be made at least a week in advance. To schedule a Dye Test call 951-351-6140.
