The project entails the construction of approximately 1520 feet of a new 88’ wide arterial street, to extend Collett Avenue from east of Buchanan Street to just west of Napa Lane. The roadway construction includes new pavement, curb, gutter, sidewalk, landscaped and irrigated parkways and slopes and a multipurpose trail. The project will also install new underground utilities including new water facilities, street light facilities, electric distribution facilities, extending an existing storm drain and the relocation of approximately 500 feet of an existing 30 inch water desalter pipeline.
The project also includes cold milling and overlay of the existing pavement between Buchanan Street and the new roadway, slurry seal of existing pavement from just west of Napa Lane through the Collett Avenue/Pierce Street intersection and widening of the Northeast curb return of the Collett Avenue/Pierce Street intersection. The project will also include traffic striping and signal modifications.
