
The annexation area contains approximately 5.74 acres generally located southerly of Indiana Avenue between Buchanan Street and Capriole Road, immediately to the west of the proposed Alvord Unified School District, High School #4 site.
The property owner submitted an application requesting that the City initiate the annexation process. The proposed annexation is an uninhabited area.
In conjunction with the annexation request, the applicant is requesting an amendment of the General Plan land use designation from Hillside Residential (HR) which permits 0.5 du/ac to Very Low Density Residential (VLDR) to permit a maximum of 2 du/ac and a zone classification of R-1-1/2 Single Family Residential and a subdivision of the 5.74 acres into 7 residential lots having a minimum lot size of 21,780 square feet and a maximum lot size of 35,230 square feet.
This item will be scheduled for Planning Commission upon acceptance and approval of technical studies and the preparation of a Plan of Services.
