Annexation 103 - Barton/Gem

This area contains approximately 92 acres located in two portions situated southerly of Van Buren Boulevard generally between Barton Street and Gem Lane.

The area is significantly developed with single family dwellings and a mobile home subdivision.

This area was previously proposed for annexation in 1996, however, the annexation proceedings were terminated by the City Council after determining that a majority protest of registered voters within the annexation area existed.

On October 26, 2004, the City Council authorized staff to commence processing necessary for an annexation.

A Plan for Services will be developed for the annexation area.
