Mariachi Festival
September 8 $10 per person day of event Youth 12 and Under are FREE - *$5 per person for fun zone unlimited play. Pre-sale tickets are available (2 for $15/1 for $7.50) through Sept. 7.
A festival celebrating Hispanic culture and the genre of Mariachi music is returning to Riverside.The City of Riverside Parks,Recreation and Community Services Department’s Mariachi Festival will showcase Mexican music, ballet folklorico dance, cultural activities and food for one glorious day in September. The event was created to bring the genre of Mariachi music to the residents of Riverside. The festival will take place on Saturday, September 8 from 1 - 9 pm at the newly improved Fairmount Park and will feature nationally known Mariachi Sol de Mexico.

Mariachi Festival Art Contest
Free - Deadline: Monday, July 2 at 5 pm
On September 8, the Mariachi Festival will return to Fairmount Park for a spectacular day of music and entertainment. This year we are holding a poster and T-shirt design competition.This contest is open to artists in high school and older wishing to submit an entry that adheres to the guidelines.
Artwork must communicate and interpret the artist's depiction of the many facets of the rich cultural heritage, including but not limited to Mariachi Musicians and Ballet Folklorico Dancers. Flatwork will be considered in all media. Contact Mariana Rodriguez at 826-2047 to secure art contest rules and Mariachi Festival Art Contest application. Deadline for submittals is July 27.
“Dive-In Movie Theater”
$2.50 per person/18+ yrs. $1 per person/17 yrs. and under $1.75 per person/55+ yrs.
Do you like the idea of our movies in the park? Try it with a twist! Come to one of our City pools and watch a movie either on a lounge chair, pool deck or in the water! Sound refreshing? Come join us for a wet and wild movie experience. Pools open at 7 pm, movies begin at dusk. Activities will conclude at 9 pm.

“Friday Night Dive ”
Come to Friday Night Dive if you enjoy music and entertainment, and a cool atmosphere. Friday Night Dive is a supervised program for 13-17 year-olds to hang out and cool off at one of our pools while listening to music and enjoying food and entertainment. Call 826-2000 for more information.
