Chikayasu Inaba Letter

Chikayasu Inaba Letter

On February 21, 1942 Chikayasu Inaba was arrested with no explanation as he walked through downtown Riverside with his daughter Haru.  After months of imprisonment he wrote this letter to the government requesting to be reunited with his wife and children who had been taken to the Manzanar Relocation Center.  He would not rejoin his family until June 1943 when they were moved to Crystal City, Texas.
