The Museum's interactive educational programs give youth an opportunity to experience learning in a hands-on environment that encourages curiosity and participation.
- Nature Lab
Investigate insects, research reptiles, ponder plants, or talk to one of our Nature Lab experts. The Nature Lab is home to over 30 living species of local and exotic animals and plants from insects, snakes, spiders, turtles, and more. Guests are able to watch animal feedings, view –through a microscope, and talk to an animal expert. This is an interactive space designed for learners of all ages.
- Family Fun Days on First Sundays
First Sunday each month ▪ 1:00 – 4:00 pm
First Sundays is a monthly series of free family programs featuring cultural performances, film screenings, traditional craft demonstrations, hands-on activities, and more. Family Fun Days are featured the first Sunday of each month from October – May.
- Discovery Day on Wednesdays
Each Wednesday, kids will learn about different aspects of nature and science. Discovery Days feature hands-on activities, live animals and plants, and animal experts engaging kids in the process of discovery. Especially for kids ages 3 - 5. Free!
