Construction Update:

Riverside Metropolitan Museum [COMPLETE] On December 7, 2010, the City Council approved a bid award to 3D Construction Inc. of Escondido, CA in the amount of $1,336,960 for the rehabilitation of the RMM. This project will provide for the rehabilitation of the decayed wood windows, façade and soffits and the repair of the roof and internal gutter system while maintaining as much of the original roof tile as possible. It also provides for the seismic retrofit of the roof structure, the marble columns, roof chimney, and the hollow clay block around the internal light well. Lastly, the rehabilitation will also include a new unisex ADA accessible restroom on the main floor.

Heritage House [COMPLETE] On December 7, 2010, the City Council approved a bid award to Southland Construction of Irvine, CA in the amount of $235,000 for the exterior painting and re-roofing of the Heritage House facilities. The Riverside Museum Associates (RMA) graciously offered a donation of $40,000 to offset the cost of the roofing project. The project was completed in October 2011.
