Culture Quest is an afterschool enrichment program geared toward elementary school aged children and their families! We explore the human experience in cultures near and far. Through culturally-based stories and activities, participants will learn about the differences, and more importantly, the similarities of cultures around the world!
This program is best for ages 6-12. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Nature Lab is open from 1:30 - 4:30, so be sure to stop by there too. Groups of 7+, please call at least one week in advance. Activities are subject to change.
March 8 – Insect Myths
No matter where you live, you're familiar with bugs! Insects are found all over the world and are a common part of the human experience, so it's no wonder that they appear in myths and folklore. Come learn about our creepy-crawly friends and the stories we tell about them.
April 12 – Insect Motifs
Insects are all over the world, so it's not a wonder that they've managed to crawl, creep, and fly their way into the imaginations of artists and makers from cultures near and far! Join us as we look at insect motifs around the world and make some of our own.
