With the addition of a new wing, the newly renovated and expanded Arlington library is now over 13,000 square feet. The remodeled 1909 building hosts a children's library and community room. The new wing provides space for the adult, periodicals, teen, and audio-visual collections and many more computers. In addition, three large plasma screens located throughout the building provide information on library and city programs and computer availability.
About Arlington Library
The Arlington Library was built in 1909. This lovely Classical Revival building was renovated in 1996 and was roughly 4,000 square feet. The library was renovated and expanded again in 2008 and reopened on June 5.
