The Arlington Library is temporarily closed as the city increases floor space and library services.

Library staff will be moving back to the Arlington Library to prepare for re-opening the facility. Until then, library service is available to Arlington neighborhood residents at other nearby libraries including the La Sierra Library at 4600 La Sierra Avenue and the Casa Blanca Library at 2985 Madison Street.

With the addition of the new wing, the Arlington library will be over 13,000 square feet. The remodeled 1909 building will host a children's library and community room. The new wing will provide space for the adult, periodicals, teen, and audio-visual collections and many more computers. In addition, there will be three large plasma screens located throughout the building providing information on library and city programs and computer availability.
