France A. Cordova is the Chancellor at the University of California Riverside. She received a bachelor's degree cum laude in English from Stanford University in 1969 and a Ph.D. in physics from the California Institute of Technology in 1979. After receiving her degree, Córdova became a Staff Scientist in the Earth and Space Science Division at the Los Alamos National Laboratory.
